This is a Beautiful 18th Century Georgian Solid Silver & Tortoiseshell Silver Inlaid Pique Work Etui , this I believe was crafted c 1760s to 1780s it is a Classic Georgian style of this Georgian period, with wonderful intricate inlaid silver work making it over 200 years old, there is no Hallmarks but it does test Solid Silver, it has a Beautiful Shape to the Tortoiseshell case with the most Stunning Silver Inlaid Pique work to both sides, and is charmingly and intricately inlaid with a silver urn and flowering baskets to the base and the lid.
The colours of the Tortoiseshell dance with deep rich browns and oranges, its stunning, the quality of the craftsmanship is breath-taking.  
There is a Silver Button to the side that opens the Lid, and the Hinge and Lid are in good condition and it opens and then closes securely with a nice clicking sound, the top of the case has a silver hoop, the base and top of the case is Solid Silver.
