Rare Superb William George Hammon
Solid Silver
Snuff Box

We are pleased to be able to offer this Exemplary
Walter George Myers
Sovereign  Snuff Box

This is an absolutely stunning Victorian solid silver circular shape snuff box , this lovely snuff box was crafted by the great silversmith Walter George Myers and Assayed in Birmingham in 1887 making it over 130 years old, it has been crafted beautifully.

The second Queen Victoria Gold Sovereign first appeared in her Jubilee year of 1887 and continued until 1893. It should therefore come as no surprise that this sovereign is commonly referred to as the 'Jubilee Head'. The reverse of the coin has the standard George and Dragon design,

to the side of the body of this beautiful circular shape snuff box you will see the most stunning bright cut engraved decoration of  a  Six Sovereign coins pile.

Condition is good for its over 130 years of age ,  the hinged lid is broken but it still shuts tight, this does not detract from its beauty, just mentioned for accuracy. The quality of the craftsmanship is superb; this is so very tactile and once held it has the most wonderful feel.

An unquestionably exquisite and fine addition for any uncompromising collector or as a display piece.
