This is a Stunning Edwardian Faux Tortoiseshell inlaid with Solid Silver Pique Work Trinket Box

The Box has the most Stunning Beautiful Silver intricate Inlaid Pique work on the lid with a stunning design of a vase of flowers and ribbon swags , it is charmingly inlaid with a stunning silver decoration around the base and the lid.

The box stands on silver 3 claw like feet that are in the design of roses and swags, a truly stunning piece.

There is a Silver Button on the body of the box that opens the Lid, and the Hinge and Lid are in good condition and it opens and then closes securely with a nice clicking sound.

The colours of the faux Tortoiseshell dance with deep rich browns and oranges, its stunning, the quality of the craftsmanship is breathtaking.

This Box is so very tactile and once held has the most wonderful feel.

This will add something very special and rare to any collection my photos don't do it justice.

The box is hallmarked London 1909

Cannot see a makers mark

9 cm in diameter and 4.5cm High

In fair condition with the normal amount of surface wear the lid and hinge functioning flawlessly with a solid fit upon closure.

The box does have a foot that is slightly loose and the base has hairline crack also the base does look like it has been repaired at some point (please see photos) but otherwise in good condition for its age, that being said this doesn't detract at all from its rare beauty, just mentioned for accuracy.

All Antique silver items will show some signs of wear, which only adds to the history of the object.

Please study the photos as these form an integral part of the description.
