We are pleased to offer this stunning solid silver double sovereign case holder crafted by the very renowned Silversmith Hayes Brothers in Birmingham England 1892.
The construction quality of this sovereign case presents a high degree of precision in hand, a sturdy trust-worthy feel is apparent, a very tactile object.
A first class example, the holder has a decorative engraved surface which have been hand engraved very finely, resulting in an intricate and aesthetically pleasing beautiful design, the Cartouche in the centre of the lid has been monogrammed with J. Fod 1898
The Sovereign Case has a button release that allows the lid to open, when pressed releases the hinged cover which closes & opens crisply & sits flush with the body of the case.
The interior has two storage compartments, excellent weight, quality and condition
When the lid is opened it reveals a hallmarked, two spring loaded sovereign case holders, embellished with an engine turned design.
This sovereign case is in good condition with no repairs, it does have a couple of dings only mentioned for accuracy and does not detract from its beauty.
The case is fully hallmarked with clear markings.
The sovereign case is so very tactile and once held it has the most wonderful feel.
