This French solid silver snuff box was crafted in Paris, The hallmarks bears the French “Minerve Premier Titre” indicating the highest quality French Sterling Silver (950/1000) used in Paris since 1838, it also bears the Master Silversmith makers mark Claude Doutre-Roussel who was located from 1895 in the Vieille-du-Temple in the Marais district of Paris
A very nice fine antique French snuff box, the snuff box has beautiful chasing and engine turned detail with an engraved floral cartouche.

In fair condition with the normal amount of surface wear the lid and hinge functioning flawlessly with a solid fit upon closure. The snuff box is free from splits or repairs, it has a few small dings but otherwise in reasonable condition for its age, that being said this doesn't detract at all from its rare beauty, just mentioned for accuracy
